Dear Bunjaku family,

It is with deep regret and pain that we learned the news of the death of your family member, Mr. Afrim Bunjaku, a member of the Kosovo Police, who tragically lost his life from a criminal group at the entrance to the village of Banjské in the Municipality of Zveqan. Sharing in your pain, we express our sincerest condolences for the loss of your family member. I hope the words of sympathy from many will be a comfort to you during these difficult days. 

This terrible event is a great loss for the entire community of Kosovo and an unending pain for your family. His loss is a terrible testimony that the security challenges that still lie before us are not easy and require close international cooperation and continued commitment from all citizens. We condemn this barbaric act and demand the deserved punishment for the criminals behind this terrible event. He will be remembered as an example of devotion to country and outstanding contribution to public safety. The Ministry of Communities and Returns will be determined to continue working and ensure that Kosovo is a safe and peaceful country for all its citizens.
