Today, at the Ministry for Communities and Return, Minister Nenad Rašić signed 59 contracts for the financing of various projects aimed at increasing employment and economic development of non-majority communities in Kosovo. These projects are part of the employment support scheme for persons from non-majority communities, who are included in the Economic Development Program, which is undertaken to support the growth of existing businesses and the creation of new businesses. The total amount of the project is 400 thousand euros and aims to improve economic opportunities for non-majority communities, creating new jobs and strengthening the professional skills and capacities of these communities to be an integral part of the country's economic development.

Project is divided into two main funding categories: Lot I and Lot II. These categories represent different types of support and investment in certain sectors of the economy.

Lot I includes support for the creation of new businesses in non-majority communities. This investment is focused on promoting new entrepreneurship and innovation in these communities, providing opportunities for individuals and groups wishing to establish new businesses.

Lot II focuses on supporting existing businesses operating in non-majority communities. This lot aims to improve the capacities of these businesses by providing them with tools and resources for expansion, improving technology, and increasing the quality of services and products.

During the ceremony, Minister Rašić expressed optimism for the results of this scheme and underlined that the Ministry's support for non-majority communities will continue to be a priority. He also emphasized that MCR will maintain a database on the work and progress of all beneficiaries. Successful projects that fulfill all their plans will have the opportunity to apply every second year for the expansion of their business if they need more support,” he added.
