MINISTER NENAD RAŠIĆ RECEIVED THE OSCE AMBASSADOR FOR NATIONAL MINORITIES IN KOSOVO, MAREK SZCZYGIEL, TO DISCUSS THE PROGRESS AND CHALLENGES OF THE COMMUNITIES

The Minister for Communities and Return, Nenad Rašić , received in an official meeting Ambassador Marek Szczygiel, director of the office of the OSCE High Commissioner for National Minorities. The meeting was an opportunity to review the progress and challenges that communities face in Kosovo, as well as to review the actions and plans of the Ministry of Communities and Return to address these issues.

In this meeting, Minister Rašić presented to Ambassador Szczygiel the achievements and actions of the Ministry for Communities and Return during his leadership. The work done so far was evaluated and priorities for the future were discussed, including public appeals for the provision of assistance to members of non-majority communities, current projects and subsidies, as well as the Strategy for the Protection of the Rights and Interests of Communities.

In this context, the importance of the dinar, the participation of communities in decision-making processes, and the need to ensure that all communities have an equal voice and feel represented in public institutions were also discussed.

Another topic of conversation was the issue of the return and verification of diplomas in Kosovo. Minister Rašić and Ambassador Szczygiel discussed the importance of the security of the diploma verification process and expressed their willingness to cooperate in this matter to ensure high standards and integrity in Kosovo's education.

Ambassador Szczygiel expressed the readiness of the OSCE to support Minister Rašić and the Ministry of Communities and Return in their efforts to address these important challenges for communities in Kosovo.
