The Minister for Communities and Return, Nenad Rašić, took part in marking the International Roma Day in the city of Prizren. This important event was organized to highlight the need to respect the rights and support the Roma community, focusing on efforts to improve their living conditions, the social and economic challenges they face.

In his speech to the many present, Minister Rašić emphasized the importance of joint cooperation and coordinated efforts to address problems and ensure a brighter future for the Roma community. He also expressed his personal commitment and that of the Government of Kosovo to promote equality, justice and social inclusion for all citizens, including members of the Roma community.

In this context, Minister Rašić presented some concrete steps that will be taken to address the needs and concerns of the Roma community, including raising education standards, improving access to health services and creating opportunities for employment and economic development.

The participants of the event express their joy and gratitude for the commitment and support of the Minister and hope for the realization of his words in concrete works and continuous progress in this direction.

The celebration of International Roma Day in Prizren was an important sign of the commitment of local and central authorities to guarantee the respect and promotion of the rights of the Roma community and to create a better environment for all citizens, including and supporting small and marginalized communities in Kosovar society.
