MINISTER NENAD RAŠIĆ HOSTS HELENI VAKALI, THE CHIEF OF THE LIAISON OFFICE OF GREECE IN KOSOVO, IN A MEETING

The Minister for Communities and Return, Nenad Rašić, hosted the Head of the Liaison Office of Greece in Kosovo, Heleni Vakali, to discuss the latest developments in the country and the deepening of cooperation in the sphere of interest for the communities, as well as to address the new regulation of Central Bank of Kosovo.

First, the current situation in Kosovo was discussed, focusing on the challenges and opportunities to face them. Together they exchanged information and concerns regarding the priorities and needs of different communities in Kosovo, deepening their cooperation for the benefit of all citizens.

Another important topic that was discussed, was the new regulation of the Central Bank of Kosovo, which stipulates that the only currency allowed for carrying out cash transactions and in the payment system in Kosovo is the euro. Minister Rašić and the Head of the Liaison Office of Greece, Heleni Vakali, exchanged views and assessments regarding the impact of this regulation on the economy of the country as well as on the Serbian community.

Cooperation between them and the intensification of relations were the focus of discussion.

Minister Rašić said that cooperation with international partners is essential for development and progress in all fields.

On the other hand, the Head of the Liaison Office of Greece, Heleni Vakali, expressed Greece's support and promised her country's continued commitment to continue cooperation in addressing common issues and to promote stability in the region.
