The Ministry for Communities and Returns, in cooperation and with the financial support of UNHCR, the Office of the Head of Mission in Kosovo, has started the third phase of training for the Case Management System (CMS). This workshop is part of a broad initiative to improve the use of the MCR database, in accordance with Regulation (GRK) - no. 01/2018 for the return of displaced persons and permanent settlement.

The workshop aims to train municipal officials of the offices for communities and returns in all regions of Kosovo. The goal is for the system to be used uniformly by all municipalities, avoiding any delays in the work of the MCR. The process starts with the MOCR and ends with the MCR, ensuring a coordinated and efficient approach to case management.

The Minister for Communities and Returns, Nenad Rašić, emphasized the importance of this system and its use as essential for the registration of cases by the MCR. In his speech, he requested maximum commitment from those present to ensure that the system is complete and functional. He also announced the advancement of the system, stressing that the entire process will go online, which will facilitate the communities' access to the services offered by MCR.

"This system is a major step forward to improve efficiency and transparency in the management of cases of displaced persons. Its use will ensure that each case is handled appropriately and in a timely manner, enabling sustainable solutions to all affected persons," said Minister Rašić.

The Head of the UNHCR Mission in Kosovo, who participated in this important event, praised the efforts of the Ministry for Communities and Returns and emphasized the importance of cooperation between institutions to achieve common goals. UNHCR fully supports this initiative and is committed to continue providing financial and technical support to this process. Effective use of the Case Management System will contribute to better and more sustainable solutions for displaced persons and communities in Kosovo," he said.

With the support of UNHCR and the commitment of the Ministry for Communities and Returns, this system is expected to bring great benefits to all those affected. Municipal officials will be trained to use the system efficiently and to ensure that all cases are recorded and managed to the highest standards.

Minister Rašić and the Head of the UNHCR Mission in Kosovo emphasized the importance of this process and pledged continued support. Training and effective use of the Case Management System will ensure better and more transparent case management, contributing to sustainable solutions for displaced persons.
