Today, in an important diplomatic meeting, the Minister for Communities and Returns, Nenad Rašić received the ambassador of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Kosovo, Michael Davenport. The meeting was organized to review the current developments regarding the issue of the return of refugees and displaced persons to Kosovo.
Ambassador Michael Davenport, a renowned international representative, seasoned diplomat with experience overseeing programs in the areas of rule of law, minority rights and good governance, has played a key role in efforts to assist Kosovo in its challenges return of persons displaced by the Kosovo War. During the meeting, Minister Rašić appreciated the contribution of the OSCE in the help and assistance offered to the country to facilitate the process of return and recovery of banished properties.
During the discussions, Ambassador Davenport expressed the full support of the OSCE and their commitment to address the challenges of return. He emphasized that continued cooperation and coordination will be essential to ensure that the return process continues successfully and that all those involved are treated with respect and dignity.
From his side, Minister Rašić thanked the ambassador and the OSCE for their commitment to the return issue and pledged to continue close cooperation with the international organization to address current issues and meet the objectives of the planned return.
